I finally did my first swim of 1800m today! I know it's not a HUGE achievement of any sort, but for any of you who knew me, I always got nauseated in the water at 500-800m. Like, ready to hurl everything in my stomach sick. For TWO YEARS.
I did the workout this morning, everything went fine and I felt pretty good. Except right now, because I feel like curling in a bed because I am so exhausted.
I would really like to thank all the coaches and club members for being so awesome and welcoming. If it weren't for you, I'd probably quit the swim portion and do duathlons instead. Thanks for being motivating!

That's Awesome Lisa - What is your secret? do tell! I'm still trying to "find" my endurance (all I know is that its not at the bottom of the pool ;-)

I think it's the combination of technique improvement and nutrition... I changed them both at the same time so it's hard to tell. I ate quite a lot over the weekend (lots of carbs like sweet potatos, rice, popcorn, bananas) and ate dates the morning before my swim which probably helped. Plus a good night's sleep
