Hey everyone,

It's that time of the year again. Time to start registering for races. Toronto Triathlon Festival registration has opened to those who have raced in the past. There are 3 promo codes available this year to save you all money or register early if you haven't raced it before.

If you raced it in 2012 and 2013, promo code TTF12and13 will save you 15%
If you raced it in 2012 or 2013, promo code TTF12or13 will save you 7.5%
Early registration for this ends Wednesday at midnight.

If you have not raced it before, promo code TTF_friend will allow you to register between Dec 5 at 7am and Dec 6 at midnight.

General registration opens on Dec 7 at 7am.

This race sells out every year so if you want to race it and/or qualify for World's (Chicago) next year, sign up early.

I totally recommend this race! It was really organized and I found it was a lot of fun! I loved zooming on my bike on the Gardiner and watching the CN Tower go by (it was such a smooth ride compared to Guelph Lake)!

The only thing is that you have to come in the day before for a pre race info session and to pick up your race kit.

It looks like this years Canadian championships are in Magog, Quebec. In an email I received from Triathlon Canada they mentioned where they were. I have it quoted below. What this means for the amount of qualifying spots in Toronto, I don't know. I just thought everyone should be aware of it.

Triathlon Canada is pleased to announce the National Triathlon Championships will be held in Magog, Quebec in 2014 in mid-July.

Schedule of events and other details are currently being finalized. Event details will be posted on Triathlon Canada's website and event calendar shortly.

If you are looking for a spot for the 2015 World Triathlon Championships in Chicago USA Magog will have 10 Standard Triathlon Spots and 10 Sprint Triathlon spots per age group category.

2014 Qualifying Event Calendar for 2015 World Championships

The 2014 Qualifying Event Calendar for 2015 World Championship events should be up in late February, if not earlier. Your local provincial triathlon association is currently in the process of event sanctioning.

Once confirmed, qualifying events will be posted on our website, www.triathloncanada.com, under "Event Calendar".
